Filing your 2025 Homestead exemption has gotten so much easier. You can do the entire application on line and it takes about 5 minutes if you have all the information handy. One big change is the forced registration so if you are setting up your account you can start there. This makes sense, so you can log back in to check your status. The last video I did did not require that part. However, the information is similar.
What you will need:
In order to successfully file your homestead exemption you will need your spouses date of birth and social security. The website asks several questions, one being if your registered to vote in Gwinnett County and if all of your cars are registered in Gwinnett County as well. The other piece you will need is your purchase date. Read each section carefully and answer the questions honestly. They may require verification.
