WARBINGTON FARMS WITH JENNIFER K. LEWIS

THE STRAWBERRIES….

Friday, June 10, 2022 we took a family day and visited a place I’ve had my eye on for awhile, Warbington Farms in Cumming, GA. It was a quick and easy 35 min drive for us. It was even better than I expected and wished we would have gone earlier. The weather was perfect, it was not crowded and the strawberries were yummy!

I included the date because I wanted to note they did say the berries were “jam” worthy. I didn’t understand what that meant until we went out. Certainly there weren’t as many strawberries as peak season I’m sure, but there were plenty for us to fill 2 buckets. I, personally, love strawberries on everything, so for us, we were more than happy with the quantity and the quality.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND WHEN THERE…

The staff/owners were so sweet and friendly. It really felt like a down home working farm. So much so I was surprised to see the baby goats roaming free! HA! They were so stinkin’ cute and friendly. They were jumping into vats of corn strategically placed between covered pavilions with benches great for watching the kiddos run around. We were able to buy some food at entry to feed the goats and it was very cool to see my kiddos engage with the farm. There was a younger boy driving around the working cart making sure gates were opened and closed and animals were fed. The store offers snacks, games, farm specialties such as pickles, veggie broth, strawberry ciders and so much more. There is also farm specific gear and cool and specific nic nacs for your enjoyment

PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY

There was a gravel parking lot for parking and a concession stand as well. We, actually, packed our own lunches, because we weren’t sure what they might provide. But there were plenty of shaded picnic tables to sit and enjoy our snacks. Also, there were nice clean, easily accessible bathrooms.

Bouncing bean, playgrounds, slides, and small water area was plenty to keep my girls engaged and loving it. At the end of the day we got every dollar out of our visit. I would certainly go back and I love supporting small businesses. They offered bulk meat boxes as well for those that may need that. I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’m still enjoying my strawberries and next season we will go earlier in the season, but later was just fine as well!
