If you are currently living in Sugar Hill, Georgia more than likely you are seeing a lot of new construction happening around town. Aside from the 22 acre Ridge Lake Park and the Lidl on Sycamore, there are some large scale projects happening around town and here is information on 2 of them. The massive project is 29.2 acres off of Stanley Street and Highway 20. The second part connects to this project but the main entrance is off of Peachtree industrial. New construction in Sugar Hill is moving quickly.
As you already know from previous videos there are Pros and Cons to Living in Sugar Hill. There is so much wonderful greenspace and amazing parks. The City of Sugar Hill has a vision of enhancing the live, work, play atmosphere is this growing city.
Stanley St. Sugar Hill
The project Stanley street is shaping up to massive, 23 acres. According to an article written by Atlanta Agent, it will offer 306 multifamily community. This area will feature a dog park, 2 drive throughs, commercial space, apartments and restaurants. If you look down Stanley St right now you can see the project underway.
So, the idea behind this project is to connect the current downtown area with this newer area across the street with a walking bridge over Nelson Brogdon. Bridge completion is scheduled for Early 2025
According to The North Gwinnet Voice, the project will consist of 20 single family townhomes, 269 multi-family residential units, office buildings, commercial space, and restaurants. They will be comprised of 4-5 story buildings and some will have garages.
Meanwhile, the second part of the project will be off Peachtree Industrial, it is 16+ acres. The Sugar Hill New construction project is said to offer multi-family homes and commercial space. Living in Sugar Hill will offer a dog park, play ground, club house and pool.
Finally, one other exciting component of this change is the extension of the Sugar Hill Greenway. Additionally, the developer agrees to add more biking, walking, running trails to the Sugar Hill outdoor loop. Eventually the loop is set to be one big circle around the area.
This scenic Sugar Hill route, is approximately 16.5 miles of trail and 11.5 miles of greenway. Additionally, this route connects communities like Wild Timber, Twin Creeks, Sugar Hill Golf Course, Primrose Creek, and the Glen at Level Creek to name a few.
PRIVATE PROJECT—HILLCREST LANDING
New construction in Sugar Hill is well under way. Along side of this massive city undertaking is the beautiful, quaint townhome community of Hillcrest Landing. Presently it is 63 townhomes with 2 car garages and access to all the items above. Specifically, there are no rental restrictions, currently and the price range is from $450K+. These townhomes are being built by a reputable home builder with strong ties to the community.
